White Background Product Image Generator
Amazon's main-image rule is not a style preference. Pure white means RGB 255, 255, 255 — not off-white, not cream, not a soft gradient that looks white on your monitor. A listing that fails it can be suppressed, which means live in your inventory and absent from search.
Produce a main image built to that rule from a photograph you already have.

White Background Generator: what actually matters
Why “nearly white” fails
A studio shot on a white sweep typically lands somewhere around RGB 250-252 in the corners. On your monitor that reads as white. Against a marketplace's own pure-white page it reads as a grey box, and automated checks measure the pixel values rather than the impression. This is the most common main-image failure and the easiest to miss.
The 85% frame rule
Amazon expects the product to occupy at least 85% of the image area. Beyond compliance it is simply a better thumbnail: in a search grid your listing sits beside competitors whose products fill their frames, and a small product in a large white field reads as lower quality regardless of the product.
What must not be in a main image
No props or accessories that are not in the box. No packaging unless the packaging is the product. No text, logos, watermarks, badges or inset images. No borders. A mug photographed with coffee beans scattered around it violates this when you are not selling the beans — and it is a returns problem on top, because the buyer expected the beans.
The 1,600 pixel zoom threshold
Amazon enables zoom on images at least 1,600 pixels on the longest side. Below that, no zoom. It is not a compliance rule and a smaller image will not get you suppressed, but zoom measurably lifts conversion because a shopper who cannot inspect a product is more likely to leave than to guess. There is no reason to sit under it.
FAQ
Common questions
Does this guarantee my listing will not be suppressed?
It produces an image built to the published main-image rules, which removes the most common cause. Suppression can also follow from prohibited claims in the copy, missing category attributes or restricted terms, none of which an image tool can address.
Do the other image slots need a white background?
No. The main image carries the compliance burden; the remaining slots are where you actually sell, and the rules relax considerably. Lifestyle scenes, text overlays, infographics and comparison charts are all permitted there.
Does Etsy want a white background too?
Generally not. Etsy buyers respond to lifestyle context, process shots and scale references, and a pure white packshot often underperforms there. Reusing your Amazon main image on Etsy is compliant but flat, and it is the most common cross-listing mistake.
What does it cost?
2 credits per image, the same as every other image type. Background removal is bundled at no extra credit cost. The free plan includes 10 credits a month with no payment card.
