Listing Quality Scorer: what actually matters
What actually gets a listing suppressed
Rarely the copy. Far more often it is a main image with a prop or an off-white background, a prohibited claim in the bullets, or a missing required attribute for the category. These are pass/fail conditions with no partial credit, and the marketplace does not always tell you which one you failed.
Empty fields are invisible losses
An unfilled backend keyword field, a missing item specific, an unused image slot — none of these produce an error. The listing publishes and simply underperforms, which is indistinguishable from being in a competitive category. This is why a structural check before publishing is worth more than another round of copy editing.
Length is the most common failure
Titles over the cap get truncated silently. Backend keyword fields over 250 bytes get truncated silently. Neither produces a warning in Seller Central. The feedback loop that would tell you is missing, so the check has to happen before the paste, not after.
A score is a checklist, not a ranking prediction
No score can tell you where you will rank — that depends on competition, price, reviews and demand that no tool has visibility into. What a score can tell you is whether you have filled in what the marketplace asked for. Treat it as the pre-flight check it is.

Does the score cost credits?
No. It runs on every generation at no extra cost, on every plan including the free one.
Can I score a listing I wrote myself?
The automatic score applies to listings generated in the app. For a listing you wrote elsewhere, the free listing character counter on this site checks it against Amazon, Walmart, Etsy and eBay limits with no account required.
Does a high score guarantee a ranking?
No, and be sceptical of any tool that implies otherwise. The score tells you the listing is structurally complete and inside the platform's limits. Ranking depends on competition, price, reviews and demand, none of which a listing generator can see.
Does it check my images for compliance?
The score covers the listing fields. Image compliance rules — pure white background, product filling 85% of the frame, no text or props in the main image — are documented in our Amazon product image guide, and the white background generator produces images built to those rules.
