What is A+ Content?

Also known as Enhanced Brand Content

A+ Content is Amazon's enhanced product description feature, available to brand-registered sellers. It replaces the plain description with image and text modules.

Why it matters

A+ Content is a separate system from the plain-text description field and has its own module limits. Adding it does not remove the need for the standard description.

Text inside A+ modules has historically not been indexed for search the way the description field is. Treat it as a conversion tool rather than a ranking one.

Backend search terms
Backend search terms are a hidden keyword field Amazon indexes but shoppers never see. The limit is 250 bytes, and exceeding it can void the entire field rather than truncating the overflow.
Main image
The main image is the first product photo shown in search results and at the top of the listing. On Amazon it must be on a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255) with the product filling at least 85% of the frame.
